Pros & Cons
Pros
Both mowers have enough power to adequately cut most any lawn with the gw having the advantage in power, 80v vs 56v. With 80v 5a battery i am able to cut my whole yard (about 1/3 acre of grass) on a single charge. The mower has a great design and nice... Read More
Both mowers have ball bearing wheels for ease of pushing. The battery isnt very light so a * eater and leaf blower would be challenging to manuver. It revs up (and the blades speed up )in thicker grass. This mower actually starts the blade spinning fa... Read More
This lawnmower is extremely quiet. It’s quiet smooth and unbelievably fast. It's very convenient and that far outweighs the fact i have to get gas all the time.
Reviewer debated whether to get self-propelled or push mowers. The self-propel function works without the blades turning, so if you need to get it up the drive, just pull the handle and it will walk itself. It has an anti-rollback so when you release ... Read More
Arrived much sooner than expected. This thing delivers. Looing forward to my second use of the machine.
Cons
Batter lasts less than 15 minutes on a well maintained lawn. Poor mower quality. It takes more time to charge, way more, then it lasts for cutting.
Highlights
Quality
I am more than happy with the mower and battery.
Not great in thick grass (might require a second pass, though, overall it a very good product.
Each time i mow the rear wheels spin a few times which didn't happen with the all-wheel drive i had before this.
I debated about what size, how powerful the battery had to be, whether to get self-propelled, the quality of the cut, height ad... Read More
Price
Purchase price is a little steep but when you take the cost of gas, oil, and tune-ups out which you do not need the cost is not bad.
Shipping
Communication on shipping and delivery was a huge headache.
Packaging/appearance
I advise waxing the inside of the steel mower deck right off the get-go.
Competitiveness
I bought a greenworks mower 5 years ago and the batterey finally gave out.
)i have a 2amp battery for the weedeater and blower and i have a 5amp for the mower.
Maneuvering in tight turns could be betterand battery life not as good as advertised
The other thing is that, if you do get other greenworks products, the 2 mah batteries will work perfectly in any other 80v device.
