Pros & Cons
Pros
The 80 volt greenworks tiller is well made, light and simple to use. It uses the same 80 volt battery that goes in my snow blower. I also own the 80 volt leaf blower, string trimmer, and snowblower.
The power and longevity is great. It is nice that i don't have to buy a batter for each product. I even recommended it to my friends on facebook who garden.
The tiller has a 4 yr warranty which i like. The unit sometimes mysteriously changes speed (faster) for a few seconds and then returns to normal. It comes with a rapid recharger that literally takes a few minutes to reload the battery.
Cons
The instructions that came with the cultivator said to hang on to the box in case i needed to return the unit. The tiller here is junk, no torque. The gears in the gearbox are stripped out.
Greenworks only ships by fedex. Looks to me like, daisy king saw this and decided they want to get more money for this and retracted my order & stated they would refund me. May return.
Searching for the retaining pin in 10 ft of cultivated soil was futile. No hassels. Safety switches one their saws don't work.
Highlights
Quality
I was very impressed with the mixing.
Had this a week now and i’m very happy with.
If they gave a category of initial quality i would have given them 2 stars.
Once i got thru the crusted dirt with the first battery, the second battery lasted 45 minutes and still had 1/3 battery left.
Shipping
Actually told me going through amazon would be faster because their shipping is backed way up and slow.
The tech support guy did helpfully tell me it would be about $6-7 if i place the order at the us website; he didn't say whether... Read More
Packaging/appearance
This tiller did as good as my mantis tiller but without the hassle.
Competitiveness
I also have greenworks 60 volt mower.
I am excited about using this and not the screaming gas/oil name-brand powered unit we had.
Very petty, and not an impressive way to treat a customer (who incidentally has several greenworks tools including my mower).

I pointed out that the lynch pin flew off by itself which is obviously somewhat hazardous and thats why it needs replacing—whether or not its covered by warranty i wouldve expected them to replace it free as basic customer satisfaction
