Pros & Cons
Pros
It has been used on a whole pig and two pork shoulders with a brine and basting mix respectivly. It breaks down nicely to clean and for my brines/basting fluids it's generally a mix of apple juice/cider/water/brown sugar/white sugar/black pepper/cayan... Read More
Easy to take apart and put back togther. It's easy to disassemble for cleaning and storage. The screw on assembly is not failing like many of the cheaper units do.
Ports are large enough that you can add seasonings to your injections. It makes injecting a breeze.
Cons
Buy a metal one with round holes to pull and push liquid. This one is difficult to use and clean. When drawing liquid to fill it it pulls liquid over the stopper as well as under.
Needle bent while injecting turkey. Once you inject the meat (if you can get any marinade in the tube through the needle) the air pressure makes it extremely difficult to inject.
Highlights
Quality
Solid quality and the plastic is fairly heavy duty.
Great works well would buy again if needed
This injectors needle has 2 spots were when injected it injects in multiple areas.
If you don't deflate the bladder, the fish can't return to the bottom and will soon die.
Price
A few weeks after buying, i found this same product at a christmas tree shop for half the price.
If you bbq or smoke meat spend a few bucks and give it a shot.
