Pros
This is more than just a water leak detector. It detects leaks, which is very useful. However, it's valuable to watch an older water heater - where they typically fail unexpectedly.
This is a nicely packaged device that stands alone and is powered by a single long-life battery. The app provides good feedback that includes battery level within the sensor. Phone app works fine toggling between the two.

We have been using this for a year at home now, battery still did not die.

Outstanding and inexpensive security for water monitoring.
That's the big value i see with this, so i was glad to see that worked.
There are cheaper units out there, but this is worth the money.

If you plan to place this unit on a metal surface you will have to set it on a paper towel because the contact sensors conduct current when on the metal
