Pros & Cons
Pros
If you are a complete novice to home maintenance/repair, you should probably consider hiring a professional plumber or handyman to install it. Installation instructions call for the use of a cleaning cartridge as part of the setup.
Make sure you have enough room under your kitchen sink to install the fairly large undercounter unit. Inches. The front doors are a bit spaced open for fresh air to cabinet.
Cold water gets very cold, and the carbonated water gets as carbonated as anyone would want it to be. Look up your water hardness of you're on municipal water supply. Add-on mineral filters are low cost and not a big deal.
Unit is a bit bulky (but it has a lot of stuff in it) and noisy. It is steeply-priced though given the technology in this i don't think it’s unjustified. And all the moving parts of this faucet operate super smoothly, too.
Hot water inlet takes the standard 3/8 compression fitting. The grohe's cold water inlets takes what i think is 1/2 compression. The chiller works excellent, water is very cold.

I suspect it is the pipe from the chiller unit to where the water comes out of the faucet.
Competitiveness
It’s just such a game-changer in the way we thought about our kitchen faucet.
I've tried and installed several hansgrohe faucets over the last few months and i haven't had a bad experience yet.
We're using a 15lb co2 tank, the largest we can fit under our sink, which can just barely fit with the clearance.
First if you are novice, dont try this, talk to a qualified installer.
