I could not use the chrome nut covers because the original threaded pipe ends did not extend far enough through and from the wall i did not want to dig out and replace the existing offset threaded connections

Annoyingly the fittings supplied did not fit my pipes but a quick visit to bq sorted that problem out

However we tightened it a small trickle of water came out of the screwed joint when the shower was on – we will replace the washer and try to resolve this but at the moment it is a little disappointing
