The glass fit to the handle is tighter so the glass won’t fall out if accidentally tipped over

After looking at pictures online and reading others problems with this issue i came to the conclusion that the piece that keeps the filter plunger unit in position to plunge is just missing because its just screwed on and not actually attached to the screen piece
