Pros & Cons
Pros
It is made of stainless steel, and not flimsy aluminum. I like that it is stainless steel and has a silicone seal. The pressure valve is made in italy, and is of high quality.
Use a thick rag to hold the water chamber. This makes it ‘screech’ somewhat when * the top & bottom parts together. No scorching or water seeping through the bottom half.
Stovetop espresso, like growing old, is not for sissies. Works beautifully.
The best coffee i have ever had is allegro organic ground espresso roast. I grind 4 tablespoons of coffee beans per batch with the maximum water level.
Cons
It looks pretty, but fails in its primary purpose of making proper espresso. One major flaw is that it did not work on our electric kitchenaid induction range.
There is a defect in the gasket that is evident in each one purchased by me. The seal between the top and bottom chamber does not seal, hence you get steam and water leaking out when you attempt to brew your coffee.
Highlights
Quality
It is really well made and easy to clean.
It is a good sturdy product and i don't have to worry about burning my hand when pouring.
I’ve bought so many espresso pots and everyone of them leaks waters where you twist the two half together.
Anything made in china, as this is, in my opinion is questionable in its quality.
