If you are wanting to start reading the discworld series, this is an excellent book to start with. The book is also incredibly quotable. It's obviously tongue-in-cheek fantasy anyway, that in this case i just see them as alternate universes.
Pratchett has a cynical/sarcastic sense of humor that i love. Full of creatively amusing paroxysms and descriptive hilarities.

Ignore that his fiction is often listed under scifi it’s really just a vehicle for jabbing today’s societal norms and human behavior in the eye and exposing how silly we’ve become
