Pros

These are a great way to upgrade the steam deck's joysticks. Easy to open the deck and unsolder the capacitive sensor wires. Sticks are non-resistive so don't suffer from joycon drift.

Tension is great. Good product and definitely works well. Definitely recommend. New model works perfectly.



Cons

Hall effect sensors mean no fighting with stick drift. They reach 100% deflection very early in their movement making them ultrasensitive in use. This causes the stick to drift. This is the type of performance you'd find in cheap third party controlle...  Read More

The outer deadzones (how far the stick moves before it maxes out the input/speed) are low. If that doesn't work, there's an official script in desktop mode.

Easy to install and no need to calibrate.


3 (with type b controls on my steam deck), and the touch sensors stopped working.


After i cut off the glue, i was able bend the wires so that they don’t rub and snag against the joystick component anymore.

Price


Not a big deal since its cheap and i had a friend who used them.


As daunting as it may seem to open the steam deck, for as cheap as this is it's a no brainer!

The container they shipped in also works well to store the original thumbsticks.


Upon receiving them, i unboxed them to make sure there was no damage incurred during shipping & to ensure the caps were on securely.

    I did encounter an issue where the right sticks 34r334 button was very stiff and would make a very loud click sound when pressed
