He dreads this boom because it is so convoluted with info. It is a bit of a bait and switch since the title names what he calls proximate factors. The chicken-egg heuristic is exhausted - use yin-yang simultaneity that accelerates or slows.
The theory that europe developed faster than the rest of the world due to its geologic shape is non-sensical.
