Pros & Cons
Pros
Definitely excited to read this. It's a fun book to read and offers interesting explanations why civilizations rose when and where they did and why european societies / nations essentially conquered most of the world. Would recommend it to anyone.
Cons
Diamond devotes only a couple pages to the influence of religions on society. Religions don't fit neatly into his hyptohesis concerning ecological differences so he simply omits any serious discussion of their impact.
