This book is great for beginners. It also contains a section on setting up your dev environment. This is good news if you've already worked through a beginner-level book or two.
Cons
This book is not about hacking encrypted data. The python itself is only discussed at a beginner's level. Rsa-encrypted information cannot be hacked, which is a bogus and unhelpful assertion.

It starts with the simple caesar (rotation) cipher, then teaches you how to break it.

Game programming is a pretty specific subset of programming and while in general it can be successful it isnt always as effective as a more traditional way
