It has 4 clips that latches to the drywall and it works really well. To actually set the clips using a small (flat-tip) screw driver. Pop back in the retaining clips and push them into place.
With the tungsten carbide blades it cuts well even with thick plaster. Halo alone has 11 different cutout sizes for its recessed light cans.
These are the best quality and essayist cans to install in any pre finished space. Its nice they are airtight also to help prevent heat from leaking into the attic.

Cons
Worst part of these cans is the small junction box. Total junk. The housing has scratches all over.
They may not be adjusted for the thickness of your drywall. You need a screwdriver and hammer to get them to work.
Can light is supposedly rated for insulation contact. Like all the other recessed cans that are on the market in this made in china era, these are cheap junk. I'm reasonably sure it's * to make a 120-volt electric appliance out of aluminum foil.

Also if you have problems getting the clips to lock take them out and bend it opened just a touch

Make sure you buy a 634 recessed light drill bit to make the holes
