Pros

The design is pleasing with the stainless steel and this is the first carafe that doesn't drip all over my counter when i pour a cup of coffee. It takes awhile to brew, but makes a nice hot pot. Uses cone filters #4.

Price is key to the rating. It has some flaws, but for under $29, i can overlook those. No complaints.

Cons

The basket is poorly designed and will not accodomodate reusable filters. The filter ends up folded over, and the pot of coffee is weak. It crinkles up the filter and as a result the coffe is not brewed.

I dislike microwaved coffee. Now i am stuck with a malfunctioning coffee maker. But, now, august 26th, it lays dead.

Piece of junk. Silly people. Very disappointed. Poor construction in my opinion. The second isn't impressive either. Poor design is another majorflaw.

Never brews a consistent cup of coffee. Takes forever to brew and it is too loud and *. The water reservoir opening is small. One side of the base the silver piece keeps unsnapping.

High quality machine, regular or bold brew, keeps coffee hot, oval shaped filter basket-no permanent filter, good looking

But no matter what bean, grind or roast i purchased, i was never quite satisfied.

If the device keeps working for a while, i will be happy with the purchase.

Originally i had a problem with the ridge on the inside of the pot which seems to hold a little liquid inside.

Price

Works great, price was right, makes great coffee.

The price is key to the rating, because i do have a sense of the value of inexpensive items.
