It's light and easy to carry around, if you’re inclined to take it to the church social, potluck or family gathering. The pan can be easily lifted out and go straight to the table for serving, then right into the dishwasher for easy cleanup.

Electric fryer is a wondrous asset for any cook. Can cook 1 lb of thick cut bacon at a time (half lb of thin cut bacon) price is so much more affordable than other deep-fryers on the market.

Too big and bulky. I doubt my glue job will hold up, because a sliver of the plastic that supports the handle has broken off.

Tried to contact hamilton beach, no replacement available. Started sticking after that, and burning, and could no longer get the burn off. Now outside 30 day warranty. Very disappointing. Hamilton beach offers a limited 1 year warranty.

The hb is shallower, it does not have a built-in spout for pouring out oil. The temperature dial is half covered by the base handle - so it's hard to get a grip on it.
