It heats the water sooo fast. The controls are intuitive.

This kettle works as advertised. I expect that this product will be just as trustworthy. Hopefully this lasts for a while!

New base is $17 from hamilton beach, but shipping is another $13. It's a decent enough kettle that i guess i'm willing to pay $30 / yr to just keep replacing the base. No obviously design flaws.
