Water well has a sloped top that eliminates splashing. The carafe is drip free and the lid doesn't keep falling off. The outside of the coffeemaker is the textured durable plastic that leaves no finger smudges.

Red color accented with brushed stainless steel trim. Color is differant and goes well with the kitchen.

Water level window on this unit is on the wrong side for the layout in my kitchen. The opening where you pour the water to be kind of hard to use. The water indicator is in the side and in the back, so that's difficult to see.

Best of all it does keep your coffee a little hotter than most other models i have tried.

They really make a differance if your tap water is just so so.
