The first one lasted 3 years until the pump motor failed

When new washed with hot soapy water rinsed well flushed with vinegar then water still had plastic smell and slight taste

Laid machine on its side on counter with water reservoir doors open arranged all the plastic parts in front of it then set up a 10 fan to blow air on it for about 6 hours
