Pros

The initial setup and cleaning is also very easy and self explanatory with the instructions. The machine performs as intended and produces usable ice. Easy to set up and use. Well-packaged and easy to follow instruction.

There are 2 cube size options, although they only seem different in terms of thickness. Bags mean having to go to the store, taking up valuable freezer space.

I think that this will be exceptionally useful for parties, even though i've found it useful for normal, everyday use (considering our temperamental ice maker) they seem to last longer. Really cool great for chewing.

Ice is wet and perfect for soda. It's about all i drink, other than espresso. This is a goo investment if you like making your morning smoothie and night time margaritas.

Cons

Not super inconvenient but very annoying. Took over 3 hours to make enough ice for a 5-gallon jug of water. It just floats in the water.

The ice doesn’t melt very fast at all even though the machine somehow manages to freeze it super fast.

Packaging/appearance

Do not freeze cubes in the ziplock, since the ice cubes are wet they freeze in a clump and shatter when broken.

Competitiveness

I have a vitamix but i always hated using regular-sized ice cubes because they were too big.

With weekly cleanings it is still keeping up with my family's (3-4 people) daily ice needs.

Note : this review is based off of the 2016 model of this exact ice maker.

It took over 2 hours to fill a gallon ziplock bag a little over half way up.
