I assume the motor and the cutter bearing are commercial quality and will last a long time in home use.
This blender offers just two speeds, which i find sufficient.
The base, jar, cutter, and drive are all metal - no rubber, plastic or glass parts to wear out, crack, shatter, or accumulate food odors.
As another reviewer mentioned it's not designed for dry ingredients without liquid.

The assembled unit is quite tall but using a cork in place of the fluid cup lets it fit in my fridge

Its pretty noisy and the sound has a different character from that of home blenders ive used but its nowhere near requiring ear protection
