Pros

This is a great upgrade to the 30 year iron that i've been using. This iron is awesome. Hate to iron, but this iron did a good job.

It is a little bulky but it's fine. Takes a couple tugs more often than not but very acceptable performance at this price. It is fairly heavy but glides smoothly.

Except the vertical steam feature. It has an adjustable steam feature with spray/blast. The steam button is a little tricky sometimes.

The hamilton beach iron has a stainless steel soleplate that's self-cleaning. It keeps it clean, which will extend its life considerably. The first contributes to peace of mind; the second makes for easy storage.

Cons

Rust flakes constantly fall out of it. Leaks like crazy--when it's standing up, it leaks out huge drops of water all over the ironing board. Only use distilled water since buying this iron.

Beyond dissatisfied. Very awkward to use as the dial is placed just below the handle. You get what you pay for and this is lightweight and super cheap.
