Pros & Cons
Pros
This is my first inductance stovetop. The burner heats up quickly and it couldn't be any easier to clean. If you have good steel cookware, it is paradigm changing.
This portable cooktop is excellent. It is compact, easy to store. The design is clunky but utility is good.
It's like having a personal chef at your fingertips - shaken, not stirred! It heats very rapidly and evenly.
Cons
It heats automatically to 175f and you can’t turn it down. And if it did ever get to temperature, it jumps from 350f to 375f on the control pad. The heat is incredibly inconsistent.
Well how disappointing. Forget it. Vine customer review of free product. Btw, every good review here says 'don't waste your time or money' vine btw.
Hamilton beach model has magnets that are simply too small for the size pans that we typically use to cook. With this model, the evenly cooked area in the center is only about 5.
Highlights
Quality
Maintains consistent temp, well made ,portable great for frying fish outside instead of using a gas cooker that you have to watch temp.
This cooktop does a good job heating induction and iron pans quickly.
It will not heat the edges of a 10" pan nor pot very well.
The 12v inverter i bought failed to work on 2 diff car batts.
Price
They are so very reasonably priced, i am always amazed that they perform as well as they do.
Rather than pay a lot for a full induction stove top, we got this, and it works great, with no gas fumes.
And it was only $70 when i bought it.
We likely saved $400 in meals out for four days.
Shipping
I have e mailed them twice with no response.
Packaging/appearance
Got this for a gift and i've been using it mainly instead of my electric stovetop.
Competitiveness
Otherwise this replaced a mueller which didn't last after only a few uses - so i would recommend hamilton beach over mueller.
I used this brand's products in another country.
