Pros

Since the base is not hot, there is no smell of burnt coffee. Not paying for more expensive but convenient cup pod makers. One of which i also own for that quick cuppa!

Strong, fresh brewed coffee. I admit, i am a coffeemaker snob. The coffee tastes great via either grind and brew or just brew function.

Cons

This machine sometimes grinds the beans, but not always. It is exceptionally loud and did not finish grinding all the beans. The only situation i would see this machine as semi-useful is if you work in an office.

Coffee fails to go into the pot, and instead runs off the top, spilling all over the counter and floor. Even when you follow all the directions it finds ways to leak all over and make a mess all the time. The piece of * leaks several times a week.

Overall, this is a decent coffee maker, with the caveats i listed above.

We've never had one issue with the grinder not grinding or beans getting stuck.

Any recommendations on quality reusables, please let me know.

I am happy enough with the coffee maker that i will not return it, but i was hoping for fresher coffee by grinding my beans.

Price

The price point doesn't seem particularly attractive, given that the grinding function is inadequate.

I can’t stress enough on reading the instructions even before you pull it out of the box.

We compared this model to many other brands and their price ranges.

Alternate between this coffee and a k-cup and i can tell the difference in taste is better using the hb.
