Pros & Cons
Pros
This smartchop chopper is a great way to process harder foods. It saves a lot of time over chopping by hand. It works well on almonds, which can get very oily in most food processors. This is very handy in my house for making cauliflower rice.
It does everything it claims from chopping to pulverizing. The grey tub is removable and without it, it chops very fine. The only thing i could see that would detract people from this is that the blade is a bit high to get everything really smooth.
Smartchop is a handy small appliance to have in your kitchen. It is relatively small and easy to store on the countertop or in the cabinet. The only possible downside is the smaller size.
Cons
The anti-over-chop feature is mixed at best. It's so huge and wobbly and sits so loosely on top that i thought i was putting it together wrong. Stopped working after just a few months.
Highlights
Quality
All in all, i gave it a good test and i am quite satisfied with the performance.
Overall, i'm very happy with it and finding it useful several times a week.
It can finely slice up three pieces of garlic in the bottom section in about 5 seconds and the same with the onion in the top.
It holds up to 3 cups without the smart chop attachment and only about one cup with the attachment.
Price
It arrived quickly, was packaged properly and was a great price!
Competitiveness
Other products and i have tried have eother chopped things too large or puréed them.
