The hotter and hottest settings are definitely hotter, if needed. Works best on the first heat setting and really gets hot fast. I mainly use the 2nd mode because the 3rd mode is really warm.
The only issue for me is that they are fairly bulky and heavy. Have recommended them to coworkers. Love the soft, non slip rubber and bright orange color.
The design and size fits my petite hands well. Fits in my coat pocket and heats up fast.
They heat up instantly! Unlike other brands, these heaters warm up on both sides, so needing to turn them in your palms. While i do like the kind that are magnetic & stick together, it's more important to have them warm all the way around.

They are too bulky to comfortably wear inside of gloves or mittens so they are not practical for performance usage
