Obviously the book itself is not a comedy it was more like how one would laugh at a bad movie like the room for example

We are shown two times where she uses her magic powers for the most petty of revenge and in one chapter she straight up ignores what seems like a major plot hook because shes more worried about the love triangle shes in

Like its not even close to the point that i feel like the character of jackson can be taken out entirely and nothing would change

In fact removing jackson would probably clear up the most confusing part of the book
