The top wooden bar is very wide because this was sold as an extra large hammock chair and my type of stand restricts the sideto side rotation somewhat i love the chair so much i would consider buying another stand that has a single arch on a four legged base allowing for more rotation comfortable soft conforming sturdy a ten of a hammock swing

I won’t take it off the star rating because it’s still sturdy but it is worth nothing that the pole is in 3 pieces that you connect together

The husband installed it within minutes and i got to sit in it for five whole minutes before my preschooler claimed it
