Barb fitting is 1/2 and doesn't fit a 5/8 hose. The hose * strip when trying to tighten down. That's why i had to try and tighten them good.

Easy to use and repaired hose after wife hit it with the lawnmower
If you own a garden hose or two, you will eventually need this product.
Every once in a while, i get an impossible hose kink so i just cut it out and repair the hose with the hose mender kit.
