The frame for the mattress itself has hardwood slats and sits on a metal frame not a wooden one

A couple of little niggles though the stickers to cover up the bolt heads are fantastic but only if the surface is perfectly flat if not they dont stay on so be very careful when tightening

Plus you have the option to choose where you place the shelf desk and chest of drawers if you dont want them in exactly the positions as shown in the photograph

Firstly have to say we purchased these beds based on the reviews and due to new house circumstances didn’t set them up until 3 months after delivery
