Pros & Cons
Pros
The glass pot and top are clear and seem flawless while tough -- but of course not to be dropped on the floor! It has a similar shibui character to the prior one even though its shape is rather different. It's a nice, fine woven filter that isn't weir... Read More
This is a replacement for a glass teapot of similar size that i had purchased several years ago at a store selling japanese products. As an aside, in case you're looking for usage i drink my oolong in a way that will almost certainly offend some tradi... Read More
It's very functional and tea doesn't seep out of the filter. No issues with heat retention. When not in use it still makes me smile cuz it's so dang cute.
Cleaning the glass is quite easy; the opening is wide enough to accommodate a sponge. It also seems to be dishwasher safe.
The steeping basket is useful and high quality. The strainer gets a bit too hot to remove once my loose tea leaves are done steeping.
Cons
Glass material is low quality. The durability of this teapot is subpar. The strainer doesn't reach far enough down unless there's a lot of water.

Price

This item vastly outperforms the adhoc orient+ glass teapot bundle that i tried before it, at a fifth of the cost.
Shipping
I discovered it on a trip to japan and bought this immediately after returning.
Packaging/appearance
As can be seen in the photo, it fits with room to spare, looks beautiful and stylish, and pours well when it's time for serving.
