About the product: as a coffee expert, i must say this is one of my favourite brewing methods, along with the v60 and the chemex.
Packaging/appearance
We use it daily, and once the grounds cool we throw them in the compost and rinse the filter.
Competitiveness
The product is made with an excellent quiality and the design is just perfect (as all of what hario manufactures).
More oils allowed through then a chemex but less then french press so flavor is beautiful.
Empty the filter wash it then put it in a zip-lock bag and freeze it.

The pot is good its glass so will have to mind it but the leather wrap is grand and shouldnt burn yourselves if you take a moment of caution

More importantly for me it is a cheap replacement for the woodneck carafe since you cant buy one
