Pros & Cons
Pros
A large part of my enthusiasm for the books seeps in nostalgia. It shames me to say that i am just now reading through the series. The books are available in hardcover, softcover, with or without illustrations.
Despite being aimed at younger readers, harry potter and the sorcerer's stone still has a lot to offer adult readers. The language is clean and fits the young adult audience by remaining jovial and easy to understand. If you’re undecided because you t... Read More

Cons
The premise is tired and unoriginal. There is one thing that saves it from utter mediocrity though - a feeble attempt at humour. The only two characters i really like are scabbers and snape.
The book is amateaurish dribble.
The story is a little bit disapointed. The plot is encouragingly positive, but overly simplified and cliched.
There are two glaring problems with these books. After a while, this becomes extremely tedious to read. A book for very, very easily entertained (and not very literate) children.
