So upon first hearing the story idea for harry potter i did feel it sounded like a ripped off boy version of mildred hubble in the worst witch

The worst witch is for a much younger audience in writing style and therefore an entirely different genre altogether

I have sent copies to relations and friends in the usa where one of the children has taken her copies to school and they were used in conjunction with the american editions as part of their english lesson

This is of course during the happy moments of the book such as harry being with his friends or playing quidditch but when the story becomes tense and mysterious you feel the characters emotions as intensely as if you were also running the same risks and having the same adventures leaving you full of expectations at the end of the fourth book

They had very little wear and were wellpacked for shipping

The first couple are ok for 8 year olds though i think they would miss some of the subtleties unless read aloud but the main issue is that the books get more complex and darker in subject matter from the end of the fourth one onwards

I gave this product 4 stars because i believe they could have been better presented the stories get 5 stars

The gold lining on the pages is quite naff and the hardback is a very odd material ribbed like very small corrigated cardboard
