Pros & Cons
Pros
When enough omens are drawn, the haunt is triggered. In 3rd edition, predetermined cards combine with the omen that triggered the haunt to determine the scenario.
Cons
Game shipped without original packaging wrap. Seems like a desperate attempt for a dungeons & dragons company to stay afloat. Not a good pick for my family.

The game goes as such you begin as explorers wandering throughout the house exploring rooms until specific rooms are uncovered that house omens

The major differences i noted between 2nd and 3rd editions are in the 2nd edition the combination of room and omen that triggered the haunt lead to the specific scenario

In 2nd edition you roll 6 dice every time an omen is pulled until you roll less than the number of omens revealed

With exceptionally bad rolls it can be triggered early on adding a lot more scramble to the gameplay

The 3rd edition players roll a number of dice equal to the number of omens in play and the haunt begins when they roll a specific number or more thereby making the first few rolls completely pointless

I also enjoy the widow’s walk expansion however the attic rooms seem to be an overall least favorite among all of us
