The game mechanics strike a perfect balance between accessibility and depth. The 'free' dungeon master app works really well with phones and tablets letting solo and a masterless game take place. A nice family game but solo options exist.

Heroquest is easy to learn and has decent replay value. Yet, beneath the simplicity lies a strategic depth that keeps players engaged and eager to explore further. Good value for money for a board game from one of the top rpgs.

Cons

Overall a disappointment, especially for the exorbitant price. Amazon will only ship it to me in a bag so it gets dented. Which pretty much guarantees the game will be returned immediately.

The amazon discount made this a good value.

I highly recommend this, especially when it is on sale.

Plus it constantly goes on sale so you get it at a great price.

This version is great if you don't feel like paying $200 plus for the original game.

It came fast, and is more amazing than i imagined.

Arrived quickly & well packed in wonderful condition.

Packaging/appearance

Was very nicely packed and everyone had fun replaying this classic.

The box and game were in perfect a condition.

Even the packaging it was shipped in from hasbro was above and beyond.

The only con was i wish it came in a box instead of an original packaging, just wrapped in plastic.

Competitiveness

As other reviewers have noted, the quality of the components is even better than the first round.

This version of heroquest is as good as the original and i would know because i still have the original.

I had to use an alternative version (herocoop) but i think that it's better than the original.
