Took all of 5 minutes to read the instructions and install. Gate closes with a light push. And can be adjust for a quick refit. It notches into place when you close it.
Cons
The locking mechanism is also down to the tension of the gate so if it moves or becomes loose the gate won't lock! Even with proper fixings, i still wouldn't use it at the top of a staircase.
The gate is flimsy. It doesn't fit square its not level once tightened, it always moves about, the little rubber stoppers constantly fall out. It also damage the paint on the wall and stair pole.
