This pressure cooker is a no-brainer to operate. It cooks evenly, and cools quickly so you don't have to wait an hour for the pressure to go down. It’s much quieter then other jingle styles.

For efficiency, this is far better than either the zavor or futura. Would buy again in a heartbeat. My 4 yr grandson likes do it just for sport.

Interior locking lid and the concealed regulator with its 'whistling' release feature. Nobody produces this kind of high quality anymore. The lid is a little difficult to get in place.

Futura continuously keeps releasing the extra pressure and that is the root of all problems. Amazon only offers a 30 day refund and replacement. Sometimes a manufacturing defect / malfunction becomes noticeable only upon consistent or prolonged use.

Don't expect calphalon-quality finish. Plastic handel edge was rough seems like broken. Imho this is a defective design.

Hawkins pressure cooker is garbage. Buy any other pressure cooker that has proper bayonet mount for the lid. Especially because so many reviewers seem to suggest this cooker will last.

The rice grains or spices get on the gasket and this compromises the pressure seal. The lid needs to be tilted steeply in the pan, there is no room for such operation.
