Lucky for me our old one disappeared because it was a leaky mess water would slop of the the top if you filled to to near capacity

As to complaints about the rose plastic splitting i am trying not jam the it on the watering spout real high as that may be what is causing the item to wear and eventually split just a thought

The can is fabricated with a thick resilient green plastic that appears quite tough

I had to sand down the spout end in order for the 2 attachments to fit and not slit in the seam

Funny thing is the brass shield popped out in the middle of the night found it separate in the morning from the spout head could it be the raccoons

Im having a hard time pushing it back in since the spout rim rolls inward and the brass face isnt flexible enough to be pushed back into the groove
