Hayward 10k gallon, inground. Works well for my 20,000 gallon inground pool. Installed this, was a simple and easy install.
Was using a sand filter for several years. Came 2 days early during a holiday weekend. A lot less expensive than traditional de filters.
Cons
The hayward w3ec40ac is a piece of junk. The 40 is not compatible with in-ground pools. This filter is rated or pools up to 33ft round.
Plastic is poorly engineered and cracks very easily if over tightened or pressurized. The clamp bolt sleeve on one side is crushed.
When the filter is shipped from the factory, it is closed and there is actually some water in it. The only way to keep my pool semi-swimmable is to over-chlorinate, which is expensive and wears on the liner and solar cover. When the back-flow valve br... Read More

Hayward talks a good game on marketing, but there is no warranty or support in the 4th largest city in the united states. Product comes with one year warranty that is not honored.

I now have a completely new filter for less than the cost of the replacement parts to fix the old one.
For the price a hayward pump should have been included with the filter as a complete replacement package.
The cost of replacement parts was a lot more than purchasing this new filter.
