I placed this cleaner in a pool that has numbers leaves from a ficus tree small leaves and leaves from a shoestring acacia long thin leaves and within a few hours there was not a single leaf left in the pool

However while i was observing the cleaner navigate the pool with its random movements it seemed a struggle to climb up the pool walls in a deep diving pool i have yet to figure out if this is an issue with the setup the suction or the device

But i think thats more of a pool design issue than cleaner issue

This is my second unit the first one lasted 6 years completely maintenance free
