Pros

The one long side takes a hose and the other female threaded side. Takes a threaded connector. Connected it to a hayward strainer basket to stop water flow to the pump.


Cons

The ball itself leaks-not the threads and it is not under pressure. Leaked and had crack by handle.

The ball valve slows down the flow from the pool intake so that it is manageable emptying the pump filter basket. This is the third time the pool connector hose has been loosed and water wasted.

    I was having problems opening and closing the valve
