Quality
The quality of the skimmer is evident in its durable construction and reliable performance.
I am highly impressed with the skimmer box.
The intakes that come with the pump have very little suction and it definitely could not pull out bugs, leaves, etc.
(pool depth is about 26”) i plugged both suction holes using plastic plugs which were included with the pool.
Price
Price was better than the local stores and came fast!
My old one was leaking horribly so i definitely needed to replace as soon as i could i seen this and the price was very reasonable .
The stock intex skimmer is a joke.
Packaging/appearance
(by design there are no threads in the predrilled holes.
All of the parts were included, however they were not in their original packaging.
Competitiveness
I installed mine on a 22'x52 intex ultra xtr and the difference was night and day.
Added to a 12x24 intex pool works as advertised
This skimmer does not hook up to intex hoses, nor does it work with intex adaptors.
You will need an adaptor for this to hook up to an intex pump.

I tried measuring it but its not easy to measure the inside of the opening from the outside of the pool

I did put on waders and got inside the pool to replace it

First i removed the inside rectangle then put the new one up she held the box on the outside while i screwed it all back together

The reason you want to put together and take apart before install is the plastic is not threaded from the screws

I started as the top and poked a hole with a screw with a pointed end and than installed the screw from the kit

Did this all the way around and only lost maybe a couple drops of water
