I finally got this seal to work properly but only after applying a light coat of type 1 silicone to the inside of it and to the impeller threads and the end of it that sits against the impeller

This is probably due to the fact that these pool pumps are all very low pressure and dont really expand the seals very well or the seal is maybe a few thousands of an inch too small for the impeller shaft

These seals are not all that hard to change

The seal was instaled in less than an hour and it doesnt leak anymore

The hardest part about buying this kit was figuring out if it would work on my particular pump
