Pros

There is 220 volts power on the chlorinator even when the pump is off. Swimming in the pool is so much nicer than chlorine. I buy the t 15 for 40,000 gal pools.

The installation is easy enough if refitting pvc and wiring are both in your skill set. Great price and a no hassle diy install. The salt cell itself is basically plug and play.

A tip to make the hayward last longer buy oversize. The salt reading on the digital salt meter and the hayward are very close. I have a 3-year warranty on the hayward, which is also reassuring.

Good and solid product. Works like a champ! Installed today. Works great once installed, just add salt.

Cons

Hayward refuses to honor their warranty and send replacement parts. It is the most infuriating level of customer service i have ever experienced. Seller needs to respond to the problem with this product.

Save your money & steer away from this system. As of today, should of gone the simpler route.

This is the 2nd unit i bought as i returned the 1st one due to display not powering on. The only way to reset it is to turn it off manually.

Others tried to talk me into getting the cheaper ones but we had such good luck with the first one i decided to go with hayward again

Price

Amazons price was good so i pulled the trigger delivered in 5 days

Difference in costs chlorine chemicals cost me 1000 per yr

But vs the cost you save on chlorine the investment justifies it

Packaging/appearance

Comes with everything you need and is ready to go out of the box

The workaround was to put an external timer on the chlorinator

Competitiveness

I have a 3year warranty on the hayward which is also reassuring

Installed this on an 18500 gallon pool

Purchased a cheaper brand first thru amazon and it came grossly damaged from the manufacturer

I upsized mine since i have a 24000 gallon pool and didnt want the cell running at 100 the whole time
