Pros
Injection molded plastic is much lighter than the fiberglass filter it replaced. Filters awesomely. We have a variable speed pump that normally runs the filter with an average of only 5 lbs of pressure.
The water is not excessively turbid or full of minerals. Bubbles underwater are in hd! Cleared algae at beginning.
Best purchase next to my hayward pump.
Easy installation after some pvc plumbing changes. Use quick pvc unions between both lines, inlet and discharge. The threads on the filter housing are fine threads and the unions are coarse threads.

I am very pleased with the entire process.
Other than my diatribe about the filters i’m pleased with the quality of my new filter thus far.
Apparently the manufacturer is now making a very low quality replacement line.
This manufacturer's quality does not match their prices, on any of their products.
Price
Awesome pool filter and price was fair for what you get.
Shipping
Works really well and super fast shipping.
The clear cover for the pressure meter was missing and one of the support feet had a chip, but this may have happened in shipping.
Shipping container suffered a bit but still works ok.
Packaging/appearance
I am very impressed with hayward customer support responsiveness and plan continue to purchase from this manufacture in the furture.
Some reviews said the packaging was flimsy, but ours was fine and delivered without incident.
Competitiveness
Have a smaller version on my inground spa as well.
Works perfectly for 20k gallon inground pool.
My advice, look at a different brand.

Unfortunately the company had changed the sizes of the connections so additional plumbing had to be done anyway

They also assured me that the filters i complained about were not true hayward filters regardless of what was stamped on them

Somewhere along the line the cartridges had been swapped with knockoffs
