Pros
The pump is really quiet in low mode, and reasonably quest in hi mode. This model allows an easy conversion from vertical to horizontal discharge that can be accomplished in a matter of minutes by removing a fork-shaped lock.
Low setting provides ample pressure to circulate and use skimmer. Replaced a 10 yr old hayward 1.
Cons
The seller refuses to do anything about it. Im beyond frustrated with this pump right now. Only 1 year warranty.
It doesn't trip the breaker or do anything, it's just a paperweight. Followed by the pump electrifying itself and pool, then promptly blowing the breaker. It was just humming and not spinning.
Have tried every trick on youtube and no luck. Maybe i'm just unlucky and just got a couple of lemons.

As far at the problem i encountered - it has nothing to do with the pump, just the way the power cord was attached.

I'm sure the return shipping will be very expensive.

Awesome pump, we have a 27’x48” round pool and and a 200lb sand filter and this pump rocks.
Running this in a 24ft round (15000) gallons.
