Good pump. Still, excellent pump. Quality of product. Great product.
My pool is 33,000 gallons with a cartridge filter and heater, two skimmers and a floor drain. Variable speed pump saves a lot of money over a single speed. High-wattage pump uses about 2000 watts and runs full speed when it is on.
Cons
Failed 4 months outside of mfg warranty. Pump was received in undamaged packaging however, began leaking internally upon start up.

Only had it going for a couple weeks now, so too soon to comment on the quality.
Whenever you unpause the pump it will start with the priming cycle and when that completes go back to your normal schedule.
Price
The only downside is the price now.

Install wasn't too difficult, and after i turned it on, i couldn't believe how quiet it was compared to my 1hp superpump.

Replaced an earlier model which died got the updated model because of same features

The product picture is different from what you receive it seems that this is a picture of an older model

The required adapters 2 to 112 changed everything as all the old piping would not match up exactly and i use unions which means everything ordinarily unscrews easily for quick replacement

Also this pump has timers built in which admittedly is a plus however somewhat difficult to learn the programming and finally vacuuming is a big disappointment not powerful enough even at top speed of 3450 rpms takes longer than usual to vacuum my pool

In the summer i paid just over 400 for it and now its over 800

As far as priming this pump has an automatic priming cycle that runs 1 whenever the pump goes from off to on and 2 after any of the pump programming has changed
