Works great, easy to install, and the only thing that prevents my barracuda suction from staying in place.

Appears to be very durable and replaces 20-year old fitting that finally broke.

It is clearly designed this way as there is a built-in slot on the cover for a screwdriver.

There are enough reviews that address this that it's obviously a manufacturing defect.

Price

Guess i'll be buying a cheaper, after market one and disputing the charge with my credit card.

However for what it is - its simply just way over priced like all pool items.

These were a tad cheaper than buying thru pool service and were exactly same.
