I suspect this is so they can compete with the bass-centric hip hop products. Wireless function is dead within 6 months. Audio is not excellent either. Will never buy and don't recommend.

Compared to other headphones these are significantly cheaper and they have been amazing.
I bought replacements for about $15 that were cloth, which i like even better.

Like many other reviewers the foam ear pices dont fit fully over ears so it gets uncomfortable to wear after a while
